A Life Abroad

Shawty had them apple bottom jeans (jeans), boots with the fur (with the fur), the whole club was lookin at her…,

So last night was the beginning of the week of Mayhem, which for me is only a half-week.  We started at Josh’s for pre-drinks and as we made our way through the obligatory Carlsbergs we were joined by Andrew, Emily, Diana, Anushka and Mel.  After once again being thrown by the fact it is still bright at 9pm we stayed there longer than usual. So long in fact that I ordered myself a kebab and chips…I was getting hungry.  The food was delivered shortly although I can’t recommend Luciano’s in Leeds for their kebabs.  Firstly there was way too much chilli and onion and no garlic sauce.  Secondly, there was only a minute bit of bread on one side of the kebab so it was impossible to eat without laying it out on the ground and doing my best impression of a drunk David Hasselhoff with a burger.

The plan for the first night of Mayhem had always been to go to Mint because we had been recommend Mint on a Monday by loads of people and Puro (the other good club on a Monday) had already been frequented by our good selves.  However, plans were re-written when we rocked up at Mint at 11:30 and were shocked to find it closed.  Probably due to the fact exams are coming up, but they are at least a week away at the earliest so it was still surprising.  After a quick rethink we were off strolling towards Puro.  It was 80s night, entry and drinks were cheap…so I don’t suppose we lost out as a result. Fast forward three hours and we are on our way home, buzzing from too much red bull and full up on Maccas after dancing the night away.  Off for a good night’s sleep before night #2.

Today I haven’t done much.  As I said yesterday the study is on hold for the moment until Thursday.  I am having a well deserved break 😛 However, today I did get up and walk in to uni.  I had put off taking photos of Sentinel Towers and Uni as I hate the feeling of being a tourist in what is essentially my home. However, with about 10 days left in Leeds and an exam to study for.  It had to be done.  You can now look through an assortment of photos of my walk to, and around the University of Leeds.

    • Follows my walk to uni, 1st is the ramp from ST. Then ST, then 2 shots along my walk. Then the main road through uni, then Parkinson Building(where the library is and is the main icon of the university) and the Roger Stevens Building where most of my lectures were…

    • Part of me thinks Josh may have made a video…if he did, then you will see it wasn’t really a ‘jump’ to make the reference LOL
